As you open the door to the Stumbling Goat Bistro, thick curtains of rich velvet fabric obstruct the view of the inside. Upon parting the intimate entrance drapery, there are two distinct dining areas: through an archway of rich red sits a backdrop for romance, and opposite it is the main brightly lit dining room filled with country-style tables.

Savory farm-fresh mussels (six of the biggest mussels I have ever seen) drizzled with a perfect-for-bread-dipping white wine broth and a fresh, regular-size beet salad begin this delicious dining journey. Entrees of garlic chicken, so tender my knife melted through the juicy white meat, and carrot risotto, alive with fresh organic products, lead us down the path of continued culinary delight. All ended with forks plunging into a "Cheesecake for two," as the menu described, which was the perfect, creamy delicious finale that brought down the curtain on an entertaining meal.
