Prediction…Phinney Ave will one day be the new Capitol Hill…Not today, not tomorrow…maybe in 10 years, when the hill has been turned into an unrecognizable shinny mecca of corporate clothing stores and condos. As of right now, Phinney is transforming into an area not quite Greenlake, not quite Ballard. A middle ground for the average, brilliant, city living family that enjoys buying groceries at the local organic market, weekend visits to Woodland Park Zoo and evenings eating at quiet bistros like The Stumbling Goat. New boutiques are opening everyday including two treasures, Lemon Meringue and The Frock Shop. Continue to be on the look out, because Phinney has loads of potential and is nowhere near its prime. |
