2007 marks the 14th anniversary for “Dining Out For Life,” an event in which participating restaurants donate part of their profits to AIDS prevention organizations. Although Dining Out For Life events occur all over the country, the money raised in Seattle will stay in Seattle, going directly to Lifelong AIDS Alliance, our local “licensed” organization. There are over 150 restaurants all over the city participating this year, making it easy to help out. 30% of your bill will go directly to the organization so it might be the perfect time to try out that expensive restaurant you’ve always wanted to go to. The event goes on all day so you can donate during breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even if you just go out for drinks. Visit the
Dining Out For Life website for the list of participating restaurants. You can even search by cuisine and neighborhood.
Lifelong AIDS Alliance is an organization committed to caring for people living with HIV and AIDS. Among other things, they hand out thousands of condoms every year to help stop the spread of AIDS and also act as political advocates on AIDS-related lawmaking for the Seattle community.
