The Plot
The Tennessee Williams masterpiece is set in the French Quarter of New Orleans during the restless years following World War Two, the story is of Blanche DuBois, a frail and disturbed woman searching for someplace in the world to call her own.

Showing up unexpectedly at her pregnant sister (Stella) and control ling brother-in-laws’ (Stanley) home, Blanche sets to make a life for herself while running from her past. As her past comes to light (money mismanagement and sexual delinquency) with the encouragement of her brother-in-law Stanley, she turns to alcohol and lies. Caught between her sister and husband, Stella faithfulness to one or the other wavers and in the end is caught in the domineering grasp of her husband. In the end a life begins and another ends, truths are hidden and the guilty walk.

As the tale of passion, vitality and human spirit unfolds, one can’t help getting caught up in this trying domestic narrative and the authors’ empathy for the struggle of life.
