Get ready for the battle of East vs. West food festivals July 18th-20th as the Kirkland Waterfront takes on the Seattle Center. With a one-two punch of style and taste, Kirkland Uncorked is ready to show the westside a thing or two about how the eastside does a three-day summer celebration.

Located on the shores of Lake Washington at Kirkland’s Marina Park, the festival will feature wine tasting, restaurant food samplings, a head-to-head chef grill-off competition, an art walk, boat show, dog modeling contest, shopping, and much more. 

TASTE
Indulge your palette with over 60 wines from 20 different local Washington wineries in the Tasting and Lifestyle Garden. After delighting your senses with over 30,000 acres of flawlessly aged wines visit The Grape Choice Wine Shop featuring bottles and cases of the varietals featured within the event – including the festival’s signature wine presented and poured by 98.1 Classical King FM. If wine is not your beverage of choice, visit the Beer Garden presented by Henry Weinhard’s, pouring premium brands of Belgium Wheat, IPA, Private Reserve, and more.

To top off the tasting experience guests will have the opportunity to sample some of the Pacific Northwest’s finest restaurants, purchase pairing plates, and bask in the talent of three of the area’s top chefs in a heated grilling competition.

STYLE
From land to sea, Kirkland Uncorked will showcase some of the most talented and newest lifestyle designs hitting the Pacific Northwest. Beginning Friday at 2pm, Parke Lane, Kirkland Avenue, and Marina Park will transform into Artists Lane, showcasing over 60 of Northwest Craft Alliances Best of the Northwest artists. While enjoying wine visit the Seattle Homes and Lifestyles Pavilion where lifestyle presentations from landscape to interior design will be artistically displayed. Sounds of the area’s top jazz musicians and bands from Pony Boy Records will fill the Marina on the Villas at Carilon Point Main Stage, and the classical tunes of Classic King FM will play at the Kirkland Cultural Council’s Fountain Stage.

After exploring the many different luxuries on land, continue your walk seaward toward the Discover Boating show.  Tour Seattle’s most talked about boats by visiting the Seattle Boat Shows’ lavish collection of cruisers on the Kirkland Waterfront.

Individual Section Details
Wine: 20 wineries bring Washington’s finest wine to Kirkland Uncorked. Sample over 60 wines in the beautiful ambiance of Marina Park.  Attending wineries will sell bottles of wine for a special festival price at the Kirkland Uncorked Wine Shop presented by The Grape Choice.

Food: Saturday at 5:00pm the grilling competition features: Chef Greg Campbell of Third Floor Fish Café, Chef Dan Hutchinson of Brix 25º, and Chef Bo Maisano of Madison Park Café. Throughout the weekend regional restaurant and food samples will be available.

Music: Pony Boy Records presents jazz on the Villas at Carillon Main Stage.  Light classical music is presented by 98.1 Classical KING FM on the Kirkland Cultural Council’s Fountain Stage.

Lifestyle: Seattle Homes & Lifestyles showcases the latest in indoor and outdoor home design trends.

In Downtown Kirkland (free and open to all ages):

Artist Lane:  Throughout downtown Kirkland over 60 of Northwest Craft Alliance’s Best of the Northwest Artists will feature fine art from a variety of mediums for sale.

Discover Boating: The Seattle Boat Show comes to Kirkland to showcase some of the hottest boats on the market. Boats will be located at the marina and are open for public tours. Come experience the lifestyle of boating and enjoy the sun, the water, and the views.

Cover Dog Contest: On Sunday, at 1:00pm in Marina Park the CityDog Cover Dog Contest will take place. Dog entry is $10.00 with all of the proceeds going to help the animals of Pasado's Safe Haven.

Car Show: On Sunday, from 10am-4pm the Kirkland Downtown Association and Legends Car Club present the 6th Annual Kirkland Classic Car Show taking place throughout downtown Kirkland.

Beneficiary:
The Hope Heart Institute has a nearly 50-year history of revolutionary medical advances and educational curriculums that make heart disease—America’s No. 1 cause of death—more treatable, beatable and preventable. A portion of all admission fees collected in the Tasting and Lifestyle Garden will directly fund local research and education to fight heart disease.
