Bicycling

[^10^]

There are many bike paths  in Seattle, including the 12.1 mile Burke-Gilman trail (along Lake Union, through the University of Washington campus,  along Lake Washington), the 2.8 mile path around Green Lake, and the Dexter Avenue bike  lane that runs up to and across the Fremont Bridge.

The Cascade Bicycle Club is the  largest bicycling club in the U.S., with over 5,000 members. You can reach them by calling  (206) 522-BIKE. If your interests run more to backcountry cycling, check out the Backcountry Bicycle Trails Club. The Washington  State Department of Transportation Cycling Page also contains a ton of useful  bicycle-related links.
