Although beauty is portrayed in the pictures we see,
Nothing is more beautiful than the heart, guarantee.

| My Valentine:
By Jessica Broun
You are truly someone to keep hold of. You have never let me down. I LOVE the way you support me, hold me, take care of me, guide me. I appreciate you accepting me with my child and treating him like your own with taking on the responsibility of a father. These past few months I’ve become quite a meany, with the commute, household responsibilities & family responsibilities. Your support in allowing me to quit my job has allowed me to become a better person and grow in my interests as well as the ability to care of family life and be there for my son to help guide him to become a young adult. I look forward to our future together, growing together and making a success of our life Valentine.
Many hugs, many kisses!

Inferno
By Jess Schwab
I hold fire at the end of my fingertips
daily,
drag after drag
without burning a thing.
I even bring it within inches
of my face, close
enough to make clear,
my features in the dark
or fabricate clouds
to eclipse the blue in the light.
I sleep with a candle
next to my bed, and have even
slept while it burns.
I have yet to catch fire,
even as the wick dwindles
and the flame moves closer
to the wood, to the flesh.
Yet even the thought of you
your intangible existence
that smolders amidst organs,
suffocated by the glow
ignites my entirety. |
